Encoding Engineer

As the encoding engineer, I managed the live stream setup, execution, and quality for all streaming platforms.

  • Obtained streaming credentials from the client

  • Collected stream details (Title, Thumbnail, Description, URL)

  • Conducted test streams & ensure proper transmission

  • Configured encoder settings (resolution, bitrate, etc.)

  • Initiated, managed, & started streams as directed

  • Monitored the final stream for quality, sync, & captions

  • Tracked start/end timecodes & manage distribution/transcoding

  • Reported issues immediately to the Producer/Director

  • Documented viewership, stream health, & key metrics at set intervals
